IT Service ADVISORY - 10/26/18

Issue:  The IT Division has become aware of several spam emails that are circulating within CTC:

  • RE: A POLICE EMERGENCY CONCERN ON CAMPUS
  • IT DESK: Concern on Emergency Situation on Campus
  • IT DESK: Someone left you a voice message 517.263-0743

There has been a definite uptick in the amount of phishing emails entering the CTC network, so please be cautious of suspicious sounding emails with links to unaffiliated or unknown websites. You can check to see where a link goes by hovering your mouse over the link. Never click strange links and never give away personal information.

If you receive messages similar to the ones below, delete them immediately and remove them from your Deleted Items folder:
