Welcome to the Employee Training and technology web page.  Our goal is to provide the highest quality training to all Central Texas College District employees.

We offer a wide variety of training options to all of our employees at all campuses. While many of our classes are conducted here in the Human Resources training room, we also have webinar capabilities as well as recorded training presentations.

We can connect with virtually anyone during any given training session.

We have conducted live training with the Pacific Far East Campus and presented pre-recorded webinars with the Europe campus.  We look forward to providing you the quality training you deserve.

Mandatory Training

  1. Equal Employment Opportunity/Sexual Harassment Prevention (EEO) training
    1. All employees are required to complete EEO training within 30 days of hire and then every 2 years after that. This training is temporarily unavailable face-to-face, but a recorded webinar version is available online.
    2. There is a separate course available for supervisors (SEEO). This training is temporarily unavailable face-to-face, but a recorded webinar version is available online.
  2. Cybersecurity Training
    1. All employees who use CTCD computers or computer equipment are required to complete Cybersecurity training within 30 days of hire and then every April after that. This training is available online.
  3. New Employee Orientation (NEO) (Central Campus Employees Only)
    1. Central campus employees are required to complete NEO within 30 days of hire. This training is currently unavailable face-to-face, but can be completed online.
  4. Hazard Communication Training (HAZCOM)
    1. Central campus employees are required to complete HAZCOM training within 30 days of hire. This training is currently unavailable face-to-face, but can be completed online.
  5. Campus Safety (Safety)
    1. Central campus employees are required to complete Safety training within 30 days of hire. This training is currently unavailable face-to-face, but can be completed online.

Other Training Available (not mandatory for all employes) 

  1. Colleague Basic Navigation (CBN) training is required for employees who will be requesting to access the Colleague database. This is a Blackboard course and must be requested.
  2. Family Education Records Privacy Act (FERPA) training is required for employees who will be requesting to access the Colleague database.
  3. Ethics training is available at the request of employees or supervisors. This is a Blackboard course and must be requested.
  4. Customer Service training is available at the request of employees or supervisors. This is a Blackboard course and must be requested.
  5. Sensitivity training is available at the request of employees or supervisors. This is a Blackboard course and must be requested.
  6. Faculty Blackboard (FBB) training is required for all faculty and is available at the request of employees or supervisors. This is a Blackboard course and must be requested.
  7. For employees in the position of Dean and higher we have an Emergency Operations Plan Training from Risk Management
  8. Adastra Calendar Events and Room Reservations
  9. AED Familiarization and Evacuation Chair Training

The Online Request Form is available in Etrieve Central (eForms)!  You can submit an Online Training Request for any of the classes mentioned above using the button below.
