Institutional Effectiveness

What is institutional effectiveness? Institutional effectiveness is proving how we as a college fulfill our mission statement.

According to SACSCOC, our regional accrediting agency, institutitional effectiveness (IE) is "a systematic, explicit, and documented comparison of institutional performance to institutional purpose." In other words, IE is the process by which we focus on meaningful improvement and quality.

Why do we do it?

How do we do it?

CTC documents its institutional effectiveness planning using a web-based software by Taskstream called AMS.

What is AMS?

How can I get started?

When thinking about institutional effectiveness, I would like everyone to consider this quote by Aristotle:

The question is not "should we change?"

The question is "how will we change?"
